The Lord knows how to keep us grounded.
Although the Trustees would have loved to have been present in Malawi to oversee the start of the development of the site at Saidi, that has not been possible due to the Covid-19 pandemic.
Nevertheless, the need to finally relocate our storage facilities means we cannot afford to delay, and so we are proceeding with some modest preliminary works in the meantime. No ground-breaking ceremony. No flurry – no fanfare.

Over the next few weeks we hope to construct a simple caretaker’s residence, and begin work on a perimeter wall. We will also be erecting basic toilet facilities and digging a shallow well – a more permanent borehole and water pumping system will follow in due course.
As ever, we are grateful for the tireless effort of our local brothers as they see this work forward in our absence.
