17 prisons in Malawi have Reformatory Schools where prisoners can study towards completing their Primary of Secondary education.
These schools are desperately under-resourced and are taught by prisoners who receive small privileges as incentives to volunteer.
We are developing a program in conjunction with the Prison Education Co-ordinators to supply much-needed resources and have recently procured a supply of:
- Textbooks
- John 3:16 pens
- Exercise Books
- Scientific Calculators
In parallel with this help we will be re-introducing Bible Correspondence courses, of which we have already printed several hundred copies.
