Pray for the families made homeless due to the current weather condition in Malawi. Although good rains are essential at this time of year for the success of the crop (around 80% of Malawians are subsistence farmers), they are often very destructive to the makeshift homes many people live in.
SALT is still finishing a project to rebuild homes for numerous vulnerable families whose simple house were destroyed by Cyclone Ana last year, but wother families in the area are affected again this year. Sadly this is the day-to-day reality of living in one of the world’s most impoverished countries.
Pray that we will have wisdom and compassion as we try to respond to these frequent catastrophes.
