Brother Stephen values continued prayer for his ongoing visit to Malawi. Much of his time during the week or more since he arrived has been spent around the Blantyre / Thondwe area, reviewing and planning in connection with the Building Project.
On Friday past, Stephen had a site meeting with a local architect, Jackson, who is formulating a proposal to help us further the work. Jackson is a lovely young brother-in-the-Lord, so please pray that this will be a very fruitful relationship.
Give thanks for help to preach each of the last two Lord’s Days – in Chichewa & English, and pray for a blessing upon the Gospel.
Specific matters to pray about:
- Resolution to some teething issues with implementation of the security systems on site. (These could be easily resolved in the western world, but are more challenging in Central Africa)
- Progress towards completion of the roof on the msasa.
- Completion of the Print Room & Offices ( an unforeseen delay means this is now behind schedule and highly unlikely to be finished, as hoped, prior to the conclusion of the trip)
- Roofing
- Fabrication & Installation of Windows, Doors & Security grilles
- Electrical & Plumbing Installation
- Plastering
- Installation of Solar PV system & Solar Hot Water system
- Planned trip to Lilongwe & Dowa (Dzaleka Refugee Camp) to review work there (c1000Km round trip). Regrettably it appears it won’t be possible to have Gospel outreach as hoped in Dzaleka, due to the absence of a suitable Swahili translator.
- Resolution to the maintenance issue involving the pick-up truck which has been off the road for almost 3 1/2 years.
- Health, safety & security while travelling.
