We have received reports of very severe rainfall and serious flooding in parts of Malawi’s Southern Region.
Brother Emi reports that locals have taken refuge at the Kindergarten he runs at Kachoka as many homes have collapsed due to the adverse weather.
Malawian news outlets are reporting 6 fatalities in Chikwawa district.
These areas are well known to us, and often receive our Gospel literature. We are unable to report on the status of any local volunteers who may be affected, but we will update as we receive further information. Please pray for those caught up in these circumstances – whose homes and crops have been damaged or destroyed, and that there will be an adequate and timely response to the emergency.
